Project/Contracts Manager – Windows and Doors Based in Upminster, Essex. Salary: £50,000p.a. + performance related bonuses. Office based. Access Garage Doors LTD – established in 1976, a leading supplier of garage doors across the South East, now expanding into windows and doors. We have secured significant contracts for 2026 and are looking for a Project/Contracts Manager to join us during this pivotal growth phase. Purpose Of The Role To manage, coordinate and deliver window and door installation projects from survey through completion, ensuring safe, timely, cost‑effective delivery to required quality standards. The Project/Contracts Manager acts as key liaison between clients, installation teams, suppliers and internal departments. Key Responsibilities
Oversee full lifecycle of window and door installation projects. Plan, schedule and manage installation teams, subcontractors and resources. Conduct pre‑start meetings, technical reviews and ensure accurate surveys. Monitor project progress, resolve issues, minimise client disruption. Ensure works meet contractual obligations, industry standards and building regulations. Manage contract documentation, variations, risk assessments and method statements. Ensure health & safety compliance onsite, conduct audits and enforce safe practices. Act as primary point of contact for clients, builders, architects and main contractors. Provide progress updates and handle queries, complaints or escalations. Manage budgets, cost forecasts and profitability of each project. Approve labour hours, supplier invoices, material orders within authority. Drive continuous improvement in installation standards and customer satisfaction. Carry out post‑installation inspections, resolve defects/snags promptly.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in managing window and door installation projects. Strong understanding of glazing systems, UPVC, aluminium, timber, composite products. Knowledge of FENSA, Building Regulations Part L/F/Q, CDM etc. Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications. Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities. Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
Experience in both residential and commercial project delivery. SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS Manager card or equivalent H&S qualifications. Experience with CRM and project management software.

Hours Monday – Friday 7:30am – 5pm Benefits
