Production Supervisor

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor looking to take the next step in your career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment?
Impact are partnered with a well-established engineering business in Daventry who pride themselves on delivering high-quality products to their customers. They are now looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Supervisor to join the team on a 3-month FTC.
This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of production, ensuring targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm
Location: Daventry
Pay: £35,000
Contract: 3-month FTC
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the shopfloor
Ensure all staff are equipped with works orders, SOPs, and required resources
Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment at all times
Allocate labour and resources to meet production plans and targets
Monitor team performance to ensure efficiency and productivity
Ensure all products are correctly identified and located on the shopfloor
Conduct stock checks and monitor production indicators
Liaise with internal departments to resolve production and planning issues
Work closely with operatives to support output and quality standards
Challenge non-conformance and implement corrective actions
Report machinery breakdowns and liaise with maintenance teams
Drive continuous improvement across processes and productivity
Ensure dispatch deadlines and internal delivery processes are met
Promote high standards of behaviour and performance across the team
Required Skills:
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong communication and organisational skills
Hands-on approach with a 'can-do' attitude
Good understanding of production processes
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing
Background in high-volume production environments (automotive preferred)
Experience managing teams and driving performance
Understanding of health & safety and operational compliance
IT literate with the ability to manage basic systems and reporting
