Production Supervisor

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor looking to take the next step in your career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

Impact are partnered with a well-established engineering business in Daventry who pride themselves on delivering high-quality products to their customers. They are now looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Supervisor to join the team on a 3-month FTC.

This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of production, ensuring targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm

Location: Daventry

Pay: £35,000

Contract: 3-month FTC

Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the shopfloor
* Ensure all staff are equipped with works orders, SOPs, and required resources
* Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment at all times
* Allocate labour and resources to meet production plans and targets
* Monitor team performance to ensure efficiency and productivity
* Ensure all products are correctly identified and located on the shopfloor
* Conduct stock checks and monitor production indicators
* Liaise with internal departments to resolve production and planning issues
* Work closely with operatives to support output and quality standards
* Challenge non-conformance and implement corrective actions
* Report machinery breakdowns and liaise with maintenance teams
* Drive continuous improvement across processes and productivity
* Ensure dispatch deadlines and internal delivery processes are met
* Promote high standards of behaviour and performance across the team

Required Skills:

* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Hands-on approach with a "can-do" attitude
* Good understanding of production processes

Required Qualifications & Experience:

* Proven experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing
* Background in high-volume production environments (automotive preferred)
* Experience managing teams and driving performance
* Understanding of health & safety and operational compliance
* IT literate with the ability to manage basic systems and reporting
