Location: University of Warwick Campus, Coventry Department: Finance Position type: Fixed Term, 6 Month Contract Salary: £35,608 to £46,049 per annum
About The Role A secondment opportunity within the Procurement Services team to support the provision of excellent service to the University's hubs. The post holder will work closely with hub and department stakeholders to support their procurement needs, ensuring procurement activities are conducted effectively to achieve best value for money, mitigate risks and comply with the University's Financial Procedures. The post holder will also collaborate with the wider Procurement team to support category strategies and undertake procurement exercises to deliver best value contracts and continuous improvement solutions. Responsibilities
Work closely with hub and department stakeholders to support their procurement needs. Collaborate with the wider Procurement team to support category strategies and perform procurement exercises. Review current supply chains and implement optimum procurement arrangements, taking account of operational contexts, regulatory or funder compliance and applicable deadlines. Advise non‑procurement staff operating within the University's hubs and departments through support, training and dissemination of best procurement practice.

About You The ideal candidate is an experienced procurement professional who is confident managing complex tenders and supplier relationships. They should be proactive, collaborative and able to deliver value for money while supporting the university's strategic goals.
Solid knowledge of procurement best practice, public sector procurement regulations desirable Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills A focus on continuous improvement and innovation Commitment to ethical, sustainable and inclusive procurement Ability to work independently and as part of a team
