A market-leading consultancy is seeking a Principal Acoustic Consultant to join its central London office. This is a rare opportunity for a technically confident and commercially minded acoustic professional to take the lead on high-profile projects and play a strategic role in shaping the future of the consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead delivery of complex projects across residential, commercial, cultural, and infrastructure sectors.
Provide hands-on technical leadership, including acoustic modelling and design.
Oversee quality assurance, project performance, and client relationships.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team development.
Engage with clients and stakeholders, supporting strategic growth.
Requirements
8+ years' experience in acoustic consultancy, with leadership responsibilities.
Strong background in building acoustics, sound insulation, and planning support.
In-depth knowledge of BB93, BS8233, and relevant national planning policy.
Proven record of project delivery and client management.
Skilled in software such as ODEON, CadnaA, or SoundPLAN.
Chartered status or working towards it (IOA).
Full UK driving licence.
