Milk Education are working with Primary Schools in Knowsley who are seeking full-time Teaching Assistants to work within their caring and inspirational schools. They require Teaching Assistants who are confident to support Primary aged children with their social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) as well as working with children with Special Educational needs (SEN).

You’ll be joining inclusive and supportive schools, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs.

The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm Monday to Friday and this role will commence in September or as soon as possible. The role will start out as a week-on-week basis and may lead to a long-term position.

There will also be part time roles which will become available as the new school year starts!

Your role & responsibilities:

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
• Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
• Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
• Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level- Non-negotiables:

• Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people with SEN, within the past two years.
• Must have a passion for education
• Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
• Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
• Must be reliable and punctual
