The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 6 class, guiding pupils through their final year of primary education and preparing them for transition to secondary school, including SATs.

The Role Will Involve:

Full classroom responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting
Preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs)
Delivering engaging and challenging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
Supporting pupils' academic progress as well as their emotional readiness for secondary school
Working closely with parents, colleagues, and leadership to ensure strong outcomes

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS and have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment expectations
Be confident in preparing pupils for SATs while maintaining a broad and engaging curriculum
Have high expectations of behaviour and achievement
Show a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection proceduresThis role is well suited to a teacher looking to take on a key stage leadership opportunity in the future or further develop their experience within Upper Key Stage 2 in a supportive setting.
