Hours are 37 per week for the Press Brake Operator

Salary £19.22 ph

4 day working week Mon to Thur.

Shift is either 6.30am to 4.15pm or 7am to 4.45pm to be discussed at interview.

Job Description: Press Brake Operator

Operation of Press Brake, including material handling, setting machine to pre-determined parameters, packing of pressed parts, and kitting parts.

Responsibilities & Duties:Press Brake Operator

Pressing (using Press Brake) of door components and related parts/assemblies in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel, and other materials as required.

Working to strict Inspection and Test Plans, under close supervision, when required.

Using overhead crane.

All work produced is to be capable of passing relevant inspection.

Unpacking of delivered material and repacking as required after pressing, including kitting.

Maintain the press brake work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret pressing requirements.

May be required to undertake and pass a security background check.

Ability to work to safe standard, and compliance with Company Health and Safety requirements.

Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

The successful candidate will demonstrate practical knowledge of Press Brake operation

Current certification for overhead crane use

Current FLT certification (desirable)

Own transport required

Effective communication skills and the ability to absorb large quantities of information

5SPlus

Experience in the use of Route Cards / Process Flow Trackers / Travellers/MITP
