A respected Special School in the London Borough of Brent is seeking a compassionate, reliable and committed PMLD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.

Brent schools benefit from strong specialist SEN provision and well-established multidisciplinary teams. This role is suited to a Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting pupils with complex learning, physical, sensory and medical needs within a structured and nurturing environment.

You will work closely with SEN teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver a pupil-centred approach that prioritises communication, sensory engagement, wellbeing and independence.

Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with PMLD, in line with EHCPs and personalised learning programmes Support pupils with complex physical needs, including mobility, feeding and personal care, maintaining dignity, safety and safeguarding at all times Assist with sensory-based and experiential learning activities, including the use of sensory rooms and specialist equipment Support the use of AAC strategies such as Makaton, PECS, communication a...
