Job Description

Outreach Programmes Executive

Hybrid, London - City

Full time, Permanent

Salary: £26,000-28,000 per annum

Our mission

The overarching purpose of the Chartered Insurance Institute (‘the Institute’) is to educate and support our members to deliver services to the highest professional standards and to advocate for the public good. By doing this the Institute builds and maintains public trust in the insurance, financial planning, and mortgage advice professions.

Our vision

Our vision is that CII and PFS professionals build a world which delivers ever greater financial resilience for individuals and societies more broadly.

Your role

As an Outreach Programmes Executive, you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful educational initiatives that promote careers in insurance and financial planning. You’ll coordinate a range of national programmes — including My Personal Finance Skills, the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, and Discover Risk/Fortune — managing events from start to finish and ensuring smooth communication with volunteers and education providers.

You’ll be responsible for organising resources, distributing marketing materials, and maintaining regular engagement with stakeholders. Your ability to manage multiple projects, suggest process improvements, and provide excellent service will be essential to the success of our outreach efforts.

This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to support the next generation of professionals while working closely with a passionate and collaborative team

You

  • You’re confident managing events and coordinating logistics, with a knack for keeping things running smoothly from start to finish.
  • You enjoy building relationships with a wide range of people — from volunteers and educators to internal teams.
  • You’re comfortable juggling multiple projects and inboxes, staying organised even when things get busy.
  • You take pride in clear, thoughtful communication and know how to tailor your message to different audiences.
  • You’re naturally curious about how things work and enjoy suggesting ways to improve processes.
  • You’re motivated by purpose — especially when it involves helping others explore careers and build financial confidence.

Your benefits

In addition to a market-benchmarked base salary, here are some of the benefits you can expect from CII as a valued colleague:

  • 10% non-contributory pension
  • 30 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • Life assurance
  • Modern office space located in 20 Fenchurch Street (Walkie-Talkie) with free Sky Garden access and discounts
