Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily business operations, optimise processes, and lead all teams across two restaurants; Raasa and Cyprianis. The successful candidate will be the business lead responsible for managing resources, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving continuous improvement to achieve organisational goals. Responsibilities Create restaurant specific strategies to drive revenue and operational efficacy Manage the operation ensuring it remains within the budgeted guidelines for revenue and cost. Build consensus and negotiate mutually beneficial terms with external suppliers Display a pro-active and consistent approach to stock control, cost control and cash control. Drive marketing efforts proactively through the marketing team to increase sales Ensure communication procedures are effective and efficient on a day to day basis, so that service standards are not compromised. Be fully conversant with disciplinary procedures and all other relevant human resource practices e.g. managing sickness/absenteeism Demonstrate a management style that is both hands on and strategic. Continuously analyse actual standards observed against department standards. Demonstrate a pro-active approach to delivering company and operational standards and actively challenge deviation. Have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law with regard to the following company regulations: - Licensing Laws - Health and Safety Policy and Procedures; - Operational standards and department procedures; - Food Handling & Hygiene Laws; - Fire Regulations and Procedures; - First Aid Procedures - Current Licensing Regulations (Food and Beverage Service department only) - Methods of payment accepted by the Company (cash handling staff only) Establish Daily, weekly, monthly targets which drive business results within the team. Ensure timely recruitment, onboarding, training and review of all staff Create and rollout policy and procedure which provides guidelines for all staff and internal stakeholders. Maintain and improve food and beverage profits by monitoring wastage and breakages and implementing remedial actions. Ensure revenue is maximised through correct billing and accounting procedures. Ensure that the team act upon all up-selling opportunities offering encouragement and incentives. Manage all maintenance related issues through third party contractors Develop interactive customer relations and be aware of any possible future requirements. Relay such information and ideas to the staff for the enhancement of customer expectations. Support with initiative and commitment to the overall objectives of the business in terms of, revenues, costs and teamwork whilst developing your personal competency levels. Attend and contribute to all daily/weekly team meetings. Display a pro-active and consistent approach to stock control, cost control and cash control. Requirements Proven experience in operations management or a similar leadership role within a relevant industry for 5+ years. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead teams and collaborate across departments. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop strategic solutions. Proficiency in using operational management software and MS Office suite. Demonstrable leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to the industry. A recognised qualification in business administration, management, or related fields is preferred but not essential.
