About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team in Sydenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to delivering high-quality childcare and education in line with the EYFS framework.

You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop, and thrive.

Working Pattern

Enjoy a great work-life balance with our 4-day working week rotation:

  • Week 1: Monday off
  • Week 2: Tuesday off
  • Week 3: Wednesday off
  • Week 4: Thursday off
  • Week 5: Friday off
  • Then repeat
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Promote childrens learning and development across all areas
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all children at all times
  • Work as a key person, building strong relationships with children and parents
  • Observe, assess, and record childrens progress
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver outstanding care
Requirements
  • CACHE Level 2 (or equivalent) in Childcare/Early Years
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Safeguarding training
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
  • Knowledge of observation systems (e.g., Tapestry)
