Shape the safety of the UKs most critical defence programmes
TXM Recruit are supporting a leading safety and assurance consultancy delivering across nuclear, defence, and high-hazard environments, including submarine and naval programmes.
They are now looking to appoint a Nuclear SafetyLead Defence to drive growth, lead delivery, and build capability within their Bristol team. The Opportunity
This is a strategic leadership role within a growing defence nuclear business.
Youll play a key part in:
- Expanding defence frameworks and opening new client relationships
- Leading delivery of complex nuclear safety and assurance projects
- Providing technical leadership across submarine and defence platforms
- Building and scaling a high-performing Bristol team
- This is an opportunity to shape a business unit and influence major UK defence programmes.
- Leading safety case and assurance across the full lifecycle
- Providing technical leadership in safety-critical environments
- Managing projects, teams, and key client relationships
- Supporting business growth through bids and strategic engagement
- Significant safety management experience in nuclear / defence environments
- Chartered / CEng (preferred)
- Strong background in submarines / naval systems
- Ideally ex-Royal Navy or similar pathway
- Proven leadership across people, projects, and clients
- Deep expertise in:
- Nuclear safety case
- Defence standards & regulation
- Complex engineering systems
