TXM Recruit are supporting a leading safety and assurance consultancy delivering across nuclear, defence, and high-hazard environments, including submarine and naval programmes.
They are now looking to appoint a Nuclear SafetyLead Defence to drive growth, lead delivery, and build capability within their Bristol team. The Opportunity
This is a strategic leadership role within a growing defence nuclear business.
Youll play a key part in:

• Expanding defence frameworks and opening new client relationships
• Leading delivery of complex nuclear safety and assurance projects
• Providing technical leadership across submarine and defence platforms
• Building and scaling a high-performing Bristol team
• This is an opportunity to shape a business unit and influence major UK defence programmes.

What Youll Be Doing

• Leading safety case and assurance across the full lifecycle
• Providing technical leadership in safety-critical environments
• Managing projects, teams, and key client relationships
• Supporting business growth through bids and strategic engagement

What Theyre Looking For

• Significant safety management experience in nuclear / defence environments
• Chartered / CEng (preferred)
• Strong background in submarines / naval systems
• Ideally ex-Royal Navy or similar pathway
• Proven leadership across people, projects, and clients
• Deep expertise in:
  • Nuclear safety case
  • Defence standards & regulation
  • Complex engineering systems
