Location: Bury St Edmunds
Salary: £38,300 + 28 Days Holiday + Pension + Training
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Days Only - No Nights, No Weekends)

Are you a mechanically-biased Maintenance Engineer seeking a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with real variety and long-term development prospects? Join a well-established distribution centre near Bury St Edmunds, where you'll work across a broad range of equipment and support general site maintenance.

What's on Offer:

Permanent, full-time position with consistent day shifts

Salary: £38,300 per annum

28 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical maintenance and repair of distribution equipment:

Conveyors, pallet wrappers, tail lifts, loading bays

General facilities and building maintenance

Occasional forklift use (training provided if needed)

Welding and fabrication tasks (advantageous but not essential)

Progression into refrigeration and specialist equipment maintenance

️ What We're Looking For:

NVQ / City & Guilds in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Electrical)

Solid experience with:

Hydraulic systems - loading bays, tail lifts

Pneumatic systems - pallet wrappers, conveyor...
