Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: Aylesham, Canterbury, CT3 Shifts: 28-day continental rotation (14 days on, 14 days off) Hours: 12-hour shifts, 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent.Day-to-Day of the Role:

Assist the Engineering Manager in creating a high-performing team aimed at achieving zero breakdowns and eliminating machine setup issues. Undertake planned maintenance tasks autonomously to maximise machinery uptime and minimise disruption to production targets. Support reactive maintenance tasks proactively, liaising with the Engineering Manager to ensure minimal production downtime. Work on electrical installations up to 400V, process safety circuits, and electrical control circuits (PLC & VSD), adhering to health and safety standards. Assist in creating and reviewing risk assessments, SOPs, OPLs, and Preventative Maintenance Schedules. Conduct proactive and effective fault diagnosis using both mechanical and electrical root cause analysis to establish problems and determine solutions. Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, service providers, and department managers.
