Mechanical Supervisor\nSE London\nContract\n\n1st Step Solutions are supporting a leading M&E Contractor who are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to join their team in London working on a commercial project in Central London. We are seeking candidates from a Pipework background with experience in plantrooms. \n\nJob Purpose:\nThe responsibilities of this Mechanical Site Supervisor role include overseeing mechanical work and site trades, scoping work and ordering materials, issuing permits and ensuring safety rules are followed.\n\nRole:\n- Co-ordination of the installation.\n- Supervising Contractors and Subcontractors, ensuring all direct staff and Subcontractors are adequately trained and adhering to H&S procedures.\n- Conducting toolbox talks, ordering materials, completing schedules of work, scheduling materials to ensure programme of works delivered.\n- Liaise with Managers on a regular basis, reporting on any and all works conducted on site.\n- Managing variations.\n- Ensuring the quality of the installation was of a high standard.\n- Carrying out site surveys.\n- Ensuring the installation was snag free.\n- Paperwork management; RFI's, method statements, risk assessments, site diaries, progress reports.\n\nRequirements:\n- City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting or equivalent.\n- CSCS Skill Card.\n- SSSTS/SMSTS.\n- Good literacy skills.\n- Previous experience in a Supervisory/Management role\n- Previous experience of working on commercial projects
