Group Metropolitan are looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee a long-term programme of works on a data centre project based in Slough .
This role will focus on the delivery of multiple small works mechanical packages , typically valued between £200k-£400k , secured under a minimum 3-year framework . It offers long-term stability, variety of work, and the opportunity to become a key part of a specialist delivery team.
The Role
Managing multiple mechanical small works projects concurrently within a live data centre environment
Overseeing delivery from pre-construction through to completion and handover
Managing subcontractors, programme, quality and health & safety
Coordinating with the client, consultants and internal teams
Managing variations, cost control and reporting
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard
Project Environment
Live operational environments
Data centres (prior experience beneficial but not essential)
Comparable backgrounds welcomed from: Commercial buildings
Financial institutions
Hospitals or healthcare
Other critical or live environments

Requirements
Strong mechanical background within building services
Proven experience managing projects in live or critical environments
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders
Strong client-facing and organisational skills
Comfortable overseeing smaller packages on a rolling programme basis
