Mechanical Design Engineer

Their design team are now looking for a proven mechanical engineer from a Nuclear, Rail, Submarine, or industrial manufacturing background.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage design production with full lifecycle consideration (material, manufacture, installation, operation). Ensure designs eliminate H&S risks per CDM regulations. Approve/check 3D models and 2D drawings in line with company process. Maintain compliance with Engineering Handbook and BS 8888 standards. Collaborate with analysis engineers to align models with theoretical analysis. Consider build sequence and ensure manufacturability before release. Lead and document design/manufacturing reviews; communicate intent to project teams. Support continuous improvement in design capability and efficiency.
