Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Building ServicesLocation: Bolton Full-timeSalary: £50,000 Company Information Join a leading M&E contractor who specialise in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across a variety of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, and industrial. Position Overview Seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing Building Services design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design of HVAC systems and plumbing, through to construction for a variety of exciting and challenging projects. Key Responsibilities Design and specification of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, domestic water, drainage, and specialist systems Produce detailed calculations using industry software such as Hevacomp, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and tender documentation Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and external consultants to ensure seamless integration of building services Attend design team meetings, site visits, and inspections as required Ensure designs comply with current legislation, standards, and best practice (e.g., CIBSE, Building Regulations, BREEAM)
