Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: OTE £56,000 + overtime
Working Pattern: 4-day week (Monday-Friday rotation), 48-hour week
Tuesday to Friday on week 1
Monday to Thursday on week 2
No Nights  no weekends

Location: Commutable from Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable, Buckingham, Hemel Hempstead, Bedford
Profile
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background. Candidates from heavy industry such as heavy engineering or similar environments are preferred, although other relevant industrial experience will be considered.
The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of a maintenance team responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of heavy industrial equipment, including:
·Crushers
·Conveyor systems
·Heavy process machinery
This is a high-volume, breakdown-focused environment, with a transition towards a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system, so experience with or exposure to PPM is advantageous.
Key responsibilities include:
·Fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical process equipment
·Mechanical repair and maintenance of industrial machinery
·Arc welding (essential requirement)
·Reading and interpreting mechanical and CAD drawings
·Fitting and assembling mechanical components
·Working across multiple production lines (typically two lines), ensuring uptime
·Calling on additional engineering support when required
