Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the matter team to ensure new transactions are set up optimally to meet both external client and legal requirements and internal reporting/billing requirements.
  • Assistance with opening of new clients/matters and generation of matter numbers.
  • Monitor the setup of clients/matters to ensure compliance with the regulations and billing/rates requirements, liaising where relevant with the Business Finance, Risk Management and Tax Teams.
  • Actioning changes to clients and matters as requested by matter teams.
  • Assistance with the setup of eBilling clients.
  • Using the information held within the Practice Management system to assist internal clients (lawyers/secretaries) by responding to their enquiries.
  • Liaising with the other New Business Intake teams to ensure a joined up and efficient process for the fee earners and PA's.
  • Identify process improvements to the internal NBI Matter Management processes.
  • Ad hoc project support for the NBI team globally.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written and face to face communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
