I am working with a private sector company that support local authorities in financial management.
They are set to take on some work with a local authority subsidiary company, private company but publically owned. The role will involve working on this entity's financial tasks and projects.
This role has been created to support financial work for a local authority subsidiary. There is a need for someone who can handle a range of accounting and finance tasks on an ad hoc basis.
Key responsibilities/ideal experience:
* Putting together accounts for an SME or similar entity
* Handling most aspects of preparing accounts
* Financial modeling in Excel
* Supporting high-needs financial work
* Working independently with flexible hours
The candidate will primarily work on preparing accounts and possibly financial modeling for a local authority subsidiary (private company, publicly owned). Additional projects may arise depending on organisational needs.
Essential or desirable qualifications
* Recently qualified accountant or in final exams
* Experience with SME accounts preparation
Essential skills
* Strong IT skills
* Good understanding of accounting standards
* Ability to prepare accounts independently
* Financial modeling skills in Excel
This work will likely be 10-15 hours a week and can be done in the evenings or over the weekend
