Full-time, permanent An established and growing UK-based group is looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team at its central office in Chorley. The Role Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in producing timely and accurate management accounts across multiple business divisions. You will also have responsibility for overseeing core ledger functions and managing a small team within the accounts department. This role offers a great blend of hands-on accounting, people management, and business partnering within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. Key Responsibilities Production of monthly management accounts across multiple business areas Oversight of sales and purchase ledgers, including timely debt collection Cash management and full monthly bank reconciliations Submission of VAT and PAYE in line with HMRC legislation Reconciliation and processing of company card transactions Intercompany invoicing and reconciliation Line management and development of two experienced Accounts Assistants Supporting the Financial Controller with audit processes and external stakeholders Reviewing and improving financial processes and controls About You Qualified or Part-qualified accountant Strong experience producing management accounts Advanced Excel skills and strong IT proficiency Solid understanding of financial and operational controls Confident people manager with excellent communication skills Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and highly analytical Able to manage multiple priorities and see tasks through to completion What's on Offer Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) Employee-owned business benefits, including tax-free profit share Funding for relevant training and professional development 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays) plus flexi-time Excellent job security and long-term career prospects Enhanced sick pay and pension contributions Employee assistance programme Discounts on holidays and hotel stays Annual salary reviews and recognition schemes If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact within a supportive, people-focused business, this could be the perfect next step. ??
