We are working with an esteemed Belfast law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Litigation practice.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a highly regarded Litigation practice, managing a diverse caseload of commercial and civil litigation matters from inception to completion, High Court, County Court and Small Claims. The candidate’s duties will include assessing the merits of potential claims, consulting with clients, witnesses and experts to ensure the competent and efficient preparation of litigation cases, providing representation (including advocacy as required) at court hearings and reviews, and negotiating settlements and exploring alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation.

The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to get involved in business development initiatives, while managing client relationships.

Essential Criteria:

• 3+ PQE;
• Strong background in litigation including case management and court representation;
• Excellent commercial awareness;
• Outstanding academics;
• Technically excellent;
• Negotiation skills;
• Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
