Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking to join a supportive, professional, and fast-paced finance team?Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-driven individual to take on a key role within their Accounts & Finance department.Working within a friendly cashiering team of four, this position is integral to ensuring the efficient and compliant running of the firm's financial processes.The team maintains the firm's financial health by managing day-to-day transactions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Monday to Friday, office based 9am - 5pm.£25k - £35k depending on experience. Must have legal cashier experience.Key ResponsibilitiesPosting daily client receipts (bank transfer, cheque, credit card)Issuing client payments via BACS and CHAPSPreparing and checking completion statements and Estate AccountsProcessing client disbursementsManaging client balances in line with SARCompleting daily client bank reconciliationsAssisting with month-end billing and credit note processingProcessing purchase ledger invoices and scheduling supplier paymentsMonth-end supplier review to ensure payments align with agreed T&CsAssisting Partners and Fee Earners with ad-hoc financial queriesTroubleshooting cashiering and finance-related issuesSkills/ExperienceMinimum 3 years' legal cashiering experience, covering both client and office accountsStrong billing experience with a clear understanding of VAT treatment on disbursementsSolid knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)Good Excel skills and confidence working with reportsThe ability to manage workloads, work to deadlines, and communicate clearlyA proactive, positive attitude and strong attention to detailDesirable:Experience with P4W (Partner for Windows) or ActionstepPlease note that we will only contact those candidates that we assess as suitable for the positions we have currently available based on their experience, training, and skills.
