Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Derbyshire

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £90 per day

Can you support children on a 1 to 1 basis with severe learning needs?

Can you teach children with learning difficulties to read and write?

Can you encourage good manners and respectful behaviours in a positive manner?

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a thriving and aspirational school based in Derbyshire, who is looking to take on a full time teaching assistant on a long term basis who is kind, caring and experienced in working with children with SEND.

The successful applicant will be making sure that the child is safe, happy and stimulated as well as supporting them with reading and writing and managing challenging behaviour.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification (preferred)
Previous experience working with SEND
Enthusiastic about making a positive difference
Driving License (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexible to work 8.30 – 3.30 Monday to Friday
