Maintenance Operative Location: Elephant & Castle, London Sector: Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 per annum About the Role We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Operative to join a vibrant Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Elephant & Castle. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering an outstanding living experience for residents across a diverse, multi-tenure development. Working closely with the on-site management team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance , ensuring the building and its facilities are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Respond to and resolve day-to-day maintenance issues across apartments and communal areas Carry out basic plumbing, electrical, and general repair works Support end-of-tenancy turnaround processes, including redecorating and repairs Conduct regular inspections, building patrols, and health & safety checks Complete mid-term and post-checkout inspections, ensuring timely follow-up actions Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance checks Assist with planned preventative maintenance (...
