About the Role We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Operative to join a vibrant Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Elephant & Castle. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering an outstanding living experience for residents across a diverse, multi-tenure development.

Working closely with the on-site management team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance, ensuring the building and its facilities are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to and resolve day-to-day maintenance issues across apartments and communal areas Carry out basic plumbing, electrical, and general repair works Support end-of-tenancy turnaround processes, including redecorating and repairs Conduct regular inspections, building patrols, and health & safety checks Complete mid-term and post-checkout inspections, ensuring timely follow-up actions Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance checks Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and statutory testing (e.g. fire alarms, water checks) Support contractor management, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard Contribute to the overall upkeep of the estate, in...
