YOUR ROLE Our Java Full Stack Engineers sit within Digital Excellence, part of the Business Technology practice, and drive the development of cutting-edge digital solutions. You will combine an understanding of business value with a consultative approach and work across a variety of projects using technologies such as NodeJS, Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, and NoSQL databases. As a Senior Consultant, you will help lead our Engineering community and projects, including managing team members, engaging with stakeholders, and assisting with recruitment. Role You will have opportunities to contribute to the business and your personal growth in areas such as:

YOUR PROFILE To be considered for this position you must hold active SC (Security Check) clearance, or be eligible to gain this level of clearance.

5+ years experience building microservices with Java (Spring Boot) Experience using JavaScript/TypeScript to build front-end web applications using React, HTML and CSS Experience with version control software – Git Experience with online version control tools – GitHub, GitLab Experience with Docker, Docker Compose Experience with CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins) Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure Experience working in an agile team environment Strong soft skills including time and risk management, problem solving, and leading with empathy

Desirable

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform Familiarity with NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) or SQL databases (e.g., Postgres) Familiarity with web accessibility standards and development best practices

Bonus

Building microservices in C# Experience integrating with LLMs using tools like Vercel AI or Langchain Using GOV.UK Design System and Nunjucks
