Hybrid WFH (Surrey/Sussex offices) possibly remotePosted 4 years agoFlexible hybrid WFH (Surrey/Sussex offices) possibly remotePear Talent is representing a listed Financial Services group who are looking for an Interim Head of Financial Reporting to lead a team delivering all key financial and regulatory reporting, as well as have a key role in significant business-wide finance transformation programme improving financial reporting processes and systems.Key accountabilities:Own and lead the delivery of all core statutory financial (IFRS) and regulatory reporting, providing high-quality financial analysis, commentary and disclosures.Significant day-to-day interaction with senior management and ExCo stakeholders internally, as well as managing the external audit relationship.Manage a team of x10 on-shore and a further off-shore shared services functionAttend regular meetings with the CFO to discuss financial results.Actively challenge the status-quo of current processes and systems, exploring any potential improvementsEnsure the finance team is motivated and performing to the highest standardPartner with all elements of the business on complex transactions and accounting issues.Continuous engagement with other functions such as the Treasury, Tax, Legal and M&A teams on specific projects or transactions.Required experience:Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience gained in Financial ServicesProven track record of managing significant external financial reporting processes under IFRSAbility to quickly gain credibility at senior levels within the business and demonstrate both first class project management and communication skillsAble to work effectively across departments and experience of managing multi-location teamsStrong presentation skills and people skills, good influencerIf this isn’t for you but you know someone who’d be interested, then why not confidentially recommend them by clicking here http://peartalent.co.uk/spread-the-word/.
