Job Description:
Job Summary Red Recruitment are currently on the looking for an experience Industrial Sewing Machinist on a temporary to permanent basis, based in the Redditch area. This will be a 12 week temporary period with potential of going into a permanent placement.
Duties:
Operate various industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish products according to specifications
Ensure consistent quality by monitoring stitches, tension, and overall machine performance
Follow detailed work instructions and production schedules to meet deadlines
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety protocols
Assist with inventory management by organising materials and supplies in the warehouse
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor technical issues
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve production processes
Experience needed:
Proven experience in sewing, preferably with industrial sewing machines
Warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with dexterity
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing setting
