HR Manager - Manchester or Leeds

We’re partnering with a leading global professional services organisation to appoint a HR Manager on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential to convert to a permanent opportunity.


This is a high-impact, business-facing role sitting within a well-established and highly respected HR function, offering exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape people strategy within a dynamic, growing business.


The Opportunity

As a HR Manager, you will operate as a true Business Partner to key stakeholders, providing both strategic insight and hands-on operational support.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, influencing decision-making, driving talent initiatives, and ensuring the business is set up for continued growth and success.

This is a varied and fast-paced role within a collaborative, forward-thinking HR team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including Divisional leadership teams
  • Partner with Finance and leadership to support organisational design and workforce planning
  • Lead and contribute to strategic HR projects and initiatives
  • Drive the talent management agenda, ensuring consistency and alignment with business goals
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, including complex cases
  • Support and enhance resourcing strategies, including senior hiring and workforce planning
  • Lead performance management processes, coaching managers to drive high performance
  • Oversee salary review and bonus cycles, ensuring fair and competitive outcomes
  • Manage and develop HR Advisor(s), supporting their growth and capability
  • Collaborate with L&D to deliver impactful learning and development programmes

About You

  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent), with proven experience operating at HR Manager / Business Partner level
  • Confident engaging and influencing at senior stakeholder level
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance strategic and operational delivery
  • Experienced across employee relations, talent management, and organisational development
  • A natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills
  • Resilient, proactive, and solutions-focused, with the ability to navigate complexity
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail
