The Role and Candidate


We are seeking a proactive and organised HR Coordinator to join our HR team on a full-time basis. This entry-level role will support the recruitment, HR compliance, reporting, and general HR operations within a fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Manager to ensure smooth and effective HR processes across the business.


Responsibilities


Recruitment (Retail Frontline Focus)


  • Take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for frontline retail roles, including drafting and posting job adverts on various platforms


  • Manage job boards and track applications to ensure timely progress throughout the recruitment cycle


  • Conduct initial CV screening to shortlist suitable candidates based on role requirements


  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth candidate experience


  • Communicate with candidates regarding their application status and provide timely feedback


  • Assist with candidate onboarding processes, including preparation of documentation and induction scheduling


  • Support continuous improvement of recruitment processes to attract and retain high-quality talent



HR Compliance & Processes


  • Help ensure compliance with company HR policies, UK employment law, and GDPR requirements


  • Report any risks or concerns promptly to the HR Manager



Employee & Onboarding Support



  • Support the onboarding process by coordinating new hire documentation and scheduling induction sessions



Internal Communication & Training Support



  • Assist in disseminating HR communications, including policy updates and training opportunities


  • Help organise and track employee training and development activities



Required Qualifications



  • Previous experience or internship in HR or recruitment (preferred but not essential)


  • Strong organisational and communication skills


  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively


  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy


  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn


  • Fluent in English



Desirable but Not Essential



  • Knowledge of UK employment law basics


  • Experience working in retail or a fast-paced environment


  • Familiarity with HR information systems or recruitment platforms
