Job Title: HR Generalist (6-Month Contract) Location: Belfast Department: Human Resources Reports To: Head of Human Resources Hours: Negotiable - Full or Part-Time (minimum 20 hours per week) Contract Duration: 6 months Purpose of the Role The HR Generalist will play a key role in delivering effective and professional HR services to managers and staff across the organisation. This position will support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on recruitment, employee relations, and HR policy compliance, ensuring best practice in people management and development. Key Responsibilities HR Operations Support the implementation, review, and updating of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practice. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases. Provide confidential and professional HR administrative support. Advise managers and employees on day-to-day HR queries. Support the management of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and attendance matters. Contribute to HR projects, employee engagement, and wellbeing initiatives. Recruitment & Selection Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from drafting job descriptions to onboarding new hires. Liaise with hiring managers to prepare role specifications and selection materials. Organise and support interview panels, including preparing assessments and interview questions. Conduct pre-employment checks and issue employment contracts. Maintain recruitment and compliance records, including statutory reporting requirements. Systems & Reporting Use HR systems and Microsoft 365 to process documents, reports, and correspondence. Prepare statutory and internal HR reports, including Fair Employment and workforce statistics. General Ensure personal conduct and work practices align with organisational values, policies, and procedures. Undertake other HR duties as required by the Head of HR or senior management. Essential Criteria CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years' HR generalist experience, including: Employee relations casework. End-to-end recruitment and selection. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Full driving licence and access to transport (or ability to meet mobility requirements). Additional Information Competitive hourly rate. Flexible working options available.
