What you need to know
Hours: 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Contract type: Fixed Term for up to 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave.
Location: Hybrid. You will spend part of your week at home, and part of your week in at least one of our offices or venues. Your base will be Commonwealth House, 38 Albion Street, Glasgow G1 1LH.
What you’ll do
As an HR Officer, you’ll be a part of an established team, reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner. You’ll play a key role in implementing HR strategy and providing support, advice and guidance to managers on all aspects of Glasgow Life’s terms and conditions and policies. This includes employee relations, absence, recruitment, workforce planning and HR Information.
The role requires an ability to work collaboratively and influence diverse groups of managers, employees and stakeholders including trade unions.

We’re looking for someone who has:
· Experience of working in a busy HR environment in a similar role
· Knowledge of HR policies and procedures and current employment law
· Experience in the provision of advice, guidance and support to managers on HR related matters.
· A strong communication and analytical skills with ability to influence stakeholders
· The ability to prioritise workload and meet challenging deadlines
· In depth working knowledge of MS software packages
· A degree qualification in a related subject or equivalent relevant experience
Having knowledge and understanding of recruitment processes would be beneficial but is not essential.
