Key Responsibilities Conduct statutory homelessness reviews, including Section 202 reviews, in line with the Housing Act 1996 (as amended). Review and evaluate housing decisions relating to duty owed, suitability of accommodation, priority need, intentionality, and local connection. Apply the Homelessness Code of Guidance, Review Regulations, and relevant case law to ensure decisions are legally sound and defensible. Prepare clear, comprehensive, and well-reasoned review decision letters within statutory timescales. Monitor compliance with housing legislation, policies, and procedures. Analyse trends and outcomes arising from reviews to identify service improvements. Work collaboratively with Housing Solutions teams, Legal Services, and partner agencies. Engage with residents and stakeholders professionally, ensuring transparency and fairness in decision-making. Contribute to service development and quality assurance initiatives.Essential Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Urban Studies, Law, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
