Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, primarily using flatbed lorries, across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills to ensure timely deliveries and uphold our company's reputation for service excellence.

Duties

* Operate flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods to various locations, adhering strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies.

* Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency.

* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.

* Secure loads properly on the flatbed to prevent movement during transit.

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.

* Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.

* Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

* Follow all legal requirements related to commercial driving and transport regulations.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed lorries or similar vehicles.

* Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV).

* Delivery driver experience is highly desirable.

* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.

* Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
