HGV Class 1 Driver – Tamworth, Staffordshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Tamworth, Staffordshire .

Shifts • Monday – Friday • Start times between 03:00 and 07:00 (flexibility required) Rates of Pay • Basic: £17.00 per hour • Saturday: £19.14 per hour • Sunday: £25.18 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing, reliable work • Weekly pay • Paid training and induction • Supportive transport team and modern facilities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Carrying out 2–3 depot-to-depot trunking runs per shift (curtain-sider work, no handball) • Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations • Completing daily vehicle checks before and after each shift • Ensuring all loads are secured and compliant with transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly Essential Skills • Valid UK Category CE Licence • Minimum 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements) • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Strong understanding of UK traffic laws and regulations • Excellent communication and timekeeping skills • Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism at all times Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Experience with multi-drop or trunking operations Training Provided • Driver assessment required prior to start • One-day paid induction following successful assessment Apply If you are a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a long-term role with excellent pay and consistent hours, apply today or contact our recruitment team for more information. xbpsjku
