- Sunday: start times between 04:00
- 08:00 Rates of Pay: Basic Days: £16.00 per Hour Basic Nights: £ 17.00 per Hour Saturday: £ 17.50 per hour Sunday: £ 18.75 per Hour Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to: RDC Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side) Operate and drive various Category CE vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a minimum of six months experience driving Category CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective xbpsjku communication skills Desirable Experience: Experience driving any commercial vehicles Previous experience with multi drop deliveries Training: Driver's Assessment must be completed Industry related training and ongoing support throughout Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out more People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
