The Role
You will support nursing and clinical teams during your shifts, delivering high‑quality, compassionate care and assisting patients with daily needs in a safe and professional clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting patients with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and dignity
* Supporting patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional needs
* Providing comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives
* Carrying out routine observations (following appropriate training)
* Supporting basic clinical procedures and pressure area care
* Preparing and maintaining clinical areas, equipment, and patient beds
* Working collaboratively with nurses and the wider MDT
Requirements
* Previous experience in a healthcare or care support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary)
* Compassionate and professional approach with strong communication skills
* Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately
* Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
* Physically able to undertake moving and handling tasks
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) desirable
* Awareness of safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality
