We are looking for a proactive and experienced  Corporate Health and Safety Advisor  to join a local authority in Hampshire. You will help ensure all Council services meet statutory health and safety requirements while promoting a positive safety culture for staff, contractors, and the public.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, review and monitor corporate health and safety policies and procedures to ensure they comply with current legislation. Provide expert advice and guidance to managers across service areas. Coordinate and deliver in-house health and safety training. Monitor and report on health and safety performance. Represent the Council at external safety forums and meetings.
What were looking for: NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and CertIOSH membership (essential). Demonstrable experience in a similar role and experience of conducting health and safety audits. Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation. Excellent communication, training, and report-writing skills. Confident working independently and as part of a cross-service team spread across the district.<...
