Head of Sales\n\nLead the sales function. Drive growth. Build a scalable, disciplined sales engine.\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe’re looking for a Head of Sales to take full ownership of the sales function for a successful aluminium glazing installation business.
You will drive pipeline growth, strengthen key client relationships and ensure commercial discipline across all project types. This role removes dependency on senior leadership by creating a clear, structured and accountable sales operation.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead sales across Large Install, Small Works, Service Works, Balconies and future Aluminium/Curtain Wall divisions.\n\n * Build a 12-month sales plan with clear monthly, quarterly and annual targets.\n\n * Implement a defined sales process from enquiry to handover.\n\n * Protect margin and elevate the company’s position with main contractors and suppliers.\n\n * Generate new opportunities across Tier 1, Tier 2 and regional contractors.\n\n * Build and maintain strong client relationships with a structured outreach plan.\n\n * Ensure disciplined pipeline management\n\n * Track market intelligence and identify partnership opportunities.\n\n * Work closely with commercial teams to ensure accurate tenders, clear scope and well-managed risk.\n\n * Support pricing strategy\n\n * Standardise tender documentation and ensure installer pricing is robust and transparent.\n\n * Lead and support the Sales Administrator and technical sales support.\n\n * Collaborate with Senior Leadership, QS, Operations, Accounts and external lead partners.\n\n * Build a high-performance, accountable sales culture.\n\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\n\n * Pipeline Growth: monthly qualified pipeline added; outreach activity levels.\n\n * Conversion: tender-to-win ratio; accurate win/loss data; margin protection from tender to order.\n\n * Client Engagement: scheduled meetings delivered; new clients secured annually.\n\n * Sales Discipline: Pipedrive accuracy; on-time tenders; quality of handovers.\n\n * Commercial Protection: reduced pricing assumptions; clear installer pricing and risk identification.\n\nSkills & Experience\n\n * 5–10 years’ construction sales experience (façades/glazing/cladding/envelope preferred).\n\n * Proven success winning £250k–£3m+ packages.\n\n * Strong commercial and tendering knowledge with focus on margin protection.\n\n * Highly organised, proactive and effective under pressure.\n\n * Excellent communication and client-facing skills with professional credibility
