The Role

As Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the engineering function at a flagship Scottish site, driving innovation, efficiency, and world-class standards across engineering operations.

  • Lead and develop the site engineering strategy to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
  • Manage and mentor a team of skilled engineers across both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Deliver CAPEX projects to support site growth and technological advancement.
  • Ensure robust engineering processes and compliance with food safety, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with production, operations, and NPD teams to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

To be considered for the Head of Engineering role, you must have:

  • Liquid fill experience within food or drink manufacturing – essential.
  • Proven track record in a senior engineering leadership position within FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, reliability, and maintenance systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices.
