We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Content to build and lead a newly integrated content function at one of the UK’s most recognisable consumer services brands. This is a rare opportunity to shape how a purpose-driven organisation communicates with millions of customers, partners and communities. You’ll define the strategy that connects the organisation’s commercial ambitions with brand reputation, ensuring every piece of content delivers impact, clarity and value. As a key member of the senior leadership team within Marketing and Communications, you will lead the development of a unified content strategy spanning marketing, campaigns, customer communications and public affairs. This strategic role has real influence, but it also requires someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to deliver high-quality content at pace. You’ll play a critical role in shaping how the brand shows up across every channel and touchpoint. Key responsibilities include
Owning and proactively managing the integrated marcomms content calendar across the Group Developing a clear, insight-led content strategy aligned to commercial priorities, brand values and reputation goals Leading end-to-end content production across web, social, CRM, email, campaigns and public affairs communications Ensuring a consistent tone of voice and strong editorial standards across all content Partnering closely with Marketing, PR, Public Affair and Commercial teams to support major campaigns and business initiatives Ensuring all content is optimised for SEO, GEO and AI/LLM discoverability Defining KPIs, dashboards and reporting frameworks to measure engagement and effectivenessExploring and testing new technologies and content formats to enhance reach and impact
About You We’re looking for a strategic content leader who understands how powerful storytelling, insight and distribution can drive brand trust, awareness and engagement. You’ll bring:
Significant experience in content strategy, editorial leadership or content marketing within a complex or multi-stakeholder organisation A strong understanding of brand governance and integrated communications Experience influencing and managing senior stakeholders across multiple functions A track record of delivering measurable commercial and reputational outcomes through content Strong knowledge of SEO, analytics and content performance optimisation A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build, inspire and guide teams The ability to balance short-term commercial drivers with long-term brand reputation
