Role Purpose The Group Compliance Officer is a senior, group-wide role responsible for leading and continuously improving Denroy Groups compliance framework across regulatory, customer, product, supply chain, export and ethical requirements. The role provides strategic oversight and subject-matter leadership, while ensuring effective day to day execution through the Group Compliance Co-ordinator. Working closely with Quality, Procurement, Engineering, Operations Technology and Commercial teams, the post holder ensures Denroy remains compliant, audit-ready and aligned with evolving regulatory and customer expectations across aerospace, defence, medical and industrial sectors. The role owns the Group compliance strategy, acts as the primary interface with regulators and certification bodies, and ensures compliance is embedded into normal business processes rather than treated as a standalone activity. Key Responsibilities ComplianceStrategy&Governance Define,implementandmaintainaGroup-widecompliancestrategycovering regulatory, product, supply chain, export and ethical compliance. Establishandmaintaincompliancepolicies,proceduresandgovernance frameworks across all Group entities. Monitorchangesinregulatoryandcustomerrequirements(e.g.ISOstandards, export controls, chemical regulations) and ensure timely implementation. Provide regular compliance reports and recommendations to senior management. Leadership Provide line management and development support to the Compliance team. Set clear objectives and priorities for compliance activities. Act as the escalation point for complex or high-risk compliance matters. Promote a strong culture of compliance, accountability and continuous improvement. Standards, Regulatory & Certification Oversight Support with compliance of relevant standards, including (but not limited to): ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, UKCA / CE marking requirements, REACH and related chemical regulations. Supportinginthe preparation,participationinandclose-outofauditsfroma compliance perspective. Actasoneoftheprimarycontactswithcertificationbodies,regulatorsand external auditors. Support industry improvement frameworks such as SC21 and Aero Excellence. Product, Supply Chain & Vendor Compliance Providesenioroversightofproductcomplianceactivities,includingdeclarationsof conformity, technical files and regulatory evidence. Ensureeffectivesupplierandsupplychaincomplianceframeworksareinplace, including risk assessment, certification and monitoring. Work with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to embed compliance requirements into supplier selection, onboarding and performance management. Export Control, Trade & Tariff Compliance Provideoversightofexportcontrol,sanctions,end-useandtariffcomplianceacross the Group. Ensure appropriate processes, controls and records are maintained for international trade and customs requirements. Support investigation and resolution of export or trade compliance issues. Audit, Risk & Continuous Improvement Oversee the internal audit programme and ensure findings are risk-assessed, prioritised and closed effectively. Support root cause analysis and corrective action planning. Use audit data and trends to drive continuous improvement in compliance. Training & Advisory Support Define and oversee compliance training and awareness frameworks. Support delivery of training and guidance across the business. Act as a trusted advisor on compliance-related matters. Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications Minimum5yearsexperienceinacompliance,qualityorregulatoryrolewithina regulated manufacturing environment. DemonstrateworkingknowledgeofISO9001andatleastoneofAS9100orISO 13485. Provenexperiencemanagingorconductingauditsandregulatoryinteractions. Understandingofproductcompliance(UKCA/CE)andsupplychaincompliance principles. Experience working cross-functionally with Quality, Procurement, Engineering and Operations Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. High attention to detail with the ability to balance compliance risk and commercial priorities. Strong analytical, reporting and MS Office skills. Desirable Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Knowledge of REACH / UK REACH, export controls and international trade compliance. Experience supporting SC21, Aero Excellence or similar frameworks. Exposure to multi-site or group-level compliance governance. Background in polymers, injection moulding or complex manufacturing environments. Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
