Job Description

We’re partnering with one of the UK’s leading PBSA providers to recruit a General Manager with responsibility for two student accommodation sites in Cheltenham and Gloucester.


This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine strong commercial drive with people-focused leadership. From maximising occupancy and driving sales, to overseeing day-to-day operations and creating a positive, inclusive student community, you’ll be central to both the commercial success and operational excellence of the sites.


What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, inspire and develop on-site teams across both locations, setting high standards and delivering first-class service.
  • Drive lettings and sales performance to achieve full occupancy and meet commercial targets.
  • Take full ownership of site operations, including facilities management, health & safety, compliance, and supplier performance.
  • Manage budgets, P&L, and financial performance, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and control costs.
  • Oversee peak operational periods including move-in, move-out, and summer turnaround.
  • Build strong relationships with universities, local partners, and stakeholders to enhance the student experience.
  • Create a safe, welcoming environment where students feel supported, engaged, and proud to live.


About you

  • Proven experience in operations and people leadership, ideally within PBSA, residential property, hospitality, or a similar service-led environment.
  • Commercially minded, with confidence in lettings, sales, and financial performance.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and resilient, able to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational demands.
  • A natural leader who can motivate teams, build strong culture, and deliver results across multiple sites.
