General Manager – Entertainment Venue

Stroud | Full Time, Permanent

Please note: You’ll need to drive and have access to your own vehicle due to the location and shift patterns. Some shifts may start as early as 7am or finish as late as 3am, and public transport is limited at these times.

Are you a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment? We're looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee a thriving site for a household name in the entertainment industry. This is an exciting, hands-on role where you’ll have full responsibility for team performance, operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer experiences

As General Manager, you’ll lead from the front — inspiring your team, making sound decisions on the ground, and ensuring the venue runs smoothly and efficiently day and night. You’ll be empowered to take ownership of the site’s success and will play a key role in maintaining high standards across the board.

Essential experience:

Previous GM experience leading a large team (30+) from a retail, hospitality or entertainment provider.

Commercial experience including KPIs, P&L management and commercial growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy entertainment venue

* Leading and coaching a diverse team to deliver outstanding service

* Managing rotas, staffing levels, stock, and on-site safety

* Acting as General Manager on shift, making quick decisions and setting the tone for service

* Driving team performance against key targets and KPIs

* Supporting recruitment, training, and team development

* Working shifts that include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays

About You

* Previous experience as a General Manager or senior leader in hospitality, leisure, retail, or a similar fast-moving sector

* Confident managing large teams and motivating others under pressure

* Organised, commercially aware, and solutions-focused

* Comfortable being on your feet, hands-on, and highly visible in your leadership

* Flexible and committed to working varied shift patterns

* Full UK driving licence and own transport required
