General Foreman - Highways Project

We are currently seeking an experienced General Foreman to join a Highways project. This is a key site-based role, supporting the Works Manager and ensuring the safe, efficient delivery of works on site.

Key Responsibilities

·Supervision and coordination of subcontractor works on site
·Day-to-day management of Health & Safety, ensuring works are carried out in line with the agreed Safe Systems of Work
·Reviewing and approving subcontractor RAMS
·Completing and maintaining a detailed site diary
·Leading and participating in morning task briefings
·Producing, issuing and briefing Permits to Work
·Carrying out Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) site inspections
·Providing general assistance to the Works Manager with daily site operations

Requirements

·Proven experience as a General Foreman on highway construction projects
·CSCS Gold or Black Card
·SSSTS or SMSTS certification
·First Aid at Work qualification
·Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures within highways environments
·Good communication skills and the ability to manage subcontractors effectively
