GCSE tutor with SEN experience

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging 1:1 or small group GCSE tuition sessions.

Support students in English and/or Maths, helping to strengthen subject knowledge and exam technique.

Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet the individual learning needs of students with SEN.

Build positive relationships to help students develop confidence, independence, and motivation.

Support students in preparing for GCSE assessments and exams through structured revision and targeted practice.

Monitor progress and provide feedback where required.

Requirements

Strong subject knowledge in GCSE English and/or Maths.

Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE / Key Stage 4 students.

Ability to differentiate lessons and use inclusive teaching strategies.

Strong communication and patience when supporting students with additional needs.

A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed academically.

Pay rates: £25-30 per hour
